This was my submission to the AppsUP 2022 competition, created in record time and conceived exclusively for the contest.
Take Google Alerts, use Huawei’s Search Kit to fetch news, authenticate users with Huawei Account Kit and save their preferences in Huawei Cloud’s Object Storage Service. What you get is CYAN, an app that notifies users whenever new content appears online about the topics that interest them most.
This was a cool concept to explore, not only because Google Alerts doesn’t have a dedicated app, but also because it has received mixed opinions over time, leaving plenty of room for improvement. It also gave me a chance to dive deeper into more advanced topics such as user authentication and cloud object storage, effectively making it my first Internet-connected app.
