By the time I started this app, I felt that I already had sufficient knowledge of how Android worked and decided to venture into some of Google’s APIs, building on my experience fighting1 with Huawei’s.
I began with ML Kit, a library that has come a long way since 2021, when I wrote this app. At that time, I chose to keep it simple and use its OCR technology to sum the numbers it detected.
