A few months after winning the HSD hackathon, the project had grown into something more than just an MVP. Once again, an ad on LinkedIn crossed my path: Huawei AppsUP.
It turned out they weren’t only organizing hackathons for students - the cool kids had their own league. I remember spotting Civitatis, the largest tour guide directory in Spain, among the participants and immediately thinking, “challenge accepted.”

I spent the whole summer polishing the design, adding missing features like pharmacy finding, and squashing as many bugs as I could. And once again, minutes before the deadline, I submitted my application.
The outcome was so positive it even got people writing about it! If you’re curious about what they said, google “Víctor Pérez Clover” and you’ll find a bunch of results. What’s more, it even got me talking about myself at the company’s main event in Paris! Nevertheless, Clover wasn’t just a three-day grace, and I was ready to take it to the next level: make it compatible with smartwatches.
